By donating to the Citizens Foundation you support a non-partisan, futurist nonprofit to create technology that will empower us to fix social woes and pernicious polarization. We already have working, mature open source technologies, developed since 2008, and deployed in over 25 countries.
Our Your Priorities open-source platform recently received the highest score (94%) on the 2022 Solonian Democracy Institute’s Digital Democracy Report, an evaluation of 28 digital democracy providers worldwide. This score was higher than that of numerous fully funded, established private sector companies, despite Citizens Foundation being a non-profit, Open Source organization with minimal resources and just a small staff of dedicated innovators. We hope to build that staff to expand our reach and efficacy in innovation, with your support.
Innovation requires dedication, insight and perseverance. Doing the right thing, in the right way, to preserve something we all care about in the public, shared space of our political discourse – these noble endeavors are not always immediately rewarded by market forces.
