13 May International conference “Participation of Young Citizens in New Era”, Istanbul
On 28th of March we received an invitation from Devin Bahçeci, representative of the Istanbul Bilgi University NGO Training and Research Center, to participate in the international conference “Participation of Young Citizens in New Era” from 9th to 11th of May, 2014.
The conference was organized as the final event of the project „Network: Youth and Participation Project”. The project is about young citizens’ participation in the decision making processes.
We decided to accept the invitation and went to Istanbul, because we saw it as another great chance to discuss common topics with other participants and share our experience with them. It is always quite interesting to see how others are working in this field. We also met a lot of great and experienced people which gave us a fresh perspective into the issue of increasing democratic participation of young people.
